*Mindfulness based practices are known to help alleviate & manage symptoms of depression & anxiety, while also reducing stress. Think of mindfulness as a daily practice of being present and aware with full acceptance of things just as they are in the moment, without placing judgement. Through practicing mindfulness, you learn to become the calm observer of your life by noticing what happens on the outside and tuning into how you feel on the inside with compassion.

By creating a safe space, I help individuals who are struggling with painful emotions that keep them from feeling calm and centered. Much of my experience has been in working with children and those suffering from mild depression or anxiety. With authenticity and openness, I encourage my clients to befriend the emotions that disturb their peace of mind or well-being. Through learning the practices of mindfulness and self-compassion, I find that people are able to accept themselves and their circumstances in a gentler way while nurturing their healing process with less fear and more ease.
Therapy Groups
Group work is my specialty. This is where I see the power of change happen as group therapy influences people's lives in a meaningful way by giving them an opportunity to connect with others through their sharing of painful experiences. Group is a process of discovery and transformation. As people relate with one another, they help each other's path towards healing through the simple act of understanding. The sense of community that group fosters, allows for greater awareness, feelings of gratitude, and empathy to grow naturally.
Self-Care Classes/Workshops
My vision for Root&Connect workshops is to translate what is learned in individual counseling and therapy groups into snippets that will reach a larger audience and help to transform the way that people approach their health and wellness in everyday living. Through confidence and creativity, I desire to teach and inspire others to pursue their happiness and recognize that it already exists inside of them. The work begins when a commitment is made to begin within and observe how connection and clarity take root to promote positive change. Workshops can be molded to educate children, students, parents, and professionals in all walks of life.
